Arsenal players in contact with Marinakis
Arsenal has reported that several Arsenal players were in contact with Marinakis after the Europa League match between the English and Greek teams a few weeks ago.
Premier League's response
In response to this situation, the Premier League has explained that they do not intend to suspend any more matches, although the match between Arsenal and Brighton & Hove Albion this Saturday is at risk.
"The medical advice we have received is that the chances of them developing Covid-19 are very low. However, we are strictly following the Government's guidelines, which state that anyone who comes into contact with an infected person must isolate," Arsenal said.
"As a consequence of this, the players are not available for tonight's match against Manchester City and the Premier League has decided to suspend it. The players will stay in their homes until the 14-day period is over."
Coronavirus' impact
The spread of the Coronavirus has already led to the suspension of the Italian league and matches in the Spanish league being played behind closed doors, as well as several matches in European competitions.
