Pep Guardiola's Success with Manchester City

The Spanish coach has won eight of the last nine trophies he has competed in, except for the Champions League, and eight since winning the first two years ago against Arsenal in the League Cup.

"We have won 8 out of the 11 competitions since we won the first one here against Arsenal two years ago. 8 out of 11 is something remarkable. Definitely not something I would have imagined. It's something incredible, it will be very difficult to do it again, not only for us, but also for our rivals."

On Sunday, City won the League Cup by defeating Aston Villa 1-2 at Wembley.

"Credit to Villa. They created opportunities, they had a header in the first minutes... I'm delighted with today's performance, especially in the second half. Unfortunately, we didn't score the third goal and the game remained open. After all the energy we spent in Madrid, we played very well," he said.

Regarding the rest of the season, Guardiola was questioned about matching last year's records, when he won all four domestic trophies in England.

"The most beautiful one is the Premier League and this year we won't win it, so we won't match last year's achievements."
