Aubameyang leads Arsenal to victory against Everton
Two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and one from young Eddie Nketiah turned the game around after Dominic Calvert-Lewin opened the scoring.
Just after kick-off, David Luiz failed to clear a set-piece and left the ball loose in the box for Calvert-Lewin to acrobatically score the opener.
Things started poorly for Arteta's men, who also suffered a blow as Sead Kolasinac got injured from a shoulder knock.
However, they managed to react and turn the game in their favor. Nketiah capitalized on a delivery from Bukayo Saka and the passiveness of Colombian Yerry Mina to equalize, and Aubameyang made it 2-1 after a great through pass from David Luiz.
Arsenal seemed to have the game under control, but Everton managed to equalize in injury time through Richarlison. In a play with several rebounds, Mina flicked the ball for the Brazilian to push it in from almost the goal line.
The psychological blow didn't affect Arsenal, and at the start of the second half, Pepe crossed and Aubameyang, with a diving header, scored the 3-2, his 17th goal in the Premier League. The Gabonese striker is now tied with Jamie Vardy as the league's top scorer.
With this victory, Arsenal climbs to ninth place with 37 points, four points away from the Europa League and seven points away from the Champions League. On the other hand, Everton suffers their first defeat in the last six games, dropping to eleventh place.
