The Brazilian Reinier Jesus Carvalho Repeats Tears of Presentation in the Honorary Box of Santiago Bernabéu as new player of Real Madrid

The Brazilian Reinier Jesus Carvalho repeated the tears of presentation in the honorary box of Santiago Bernabéu as the new player of Real Madrid in the press conference when he recalled his sacrifice to succeed in the world of football, a moment when his entire childhood went through his mind.

"During the presentation, everything I experienced in my childhood since I left home went through my mind. I spent a lot of time alone in Rio without my mother, without my father, and without my sisters in pursuit of my dream," he said before not being able to hold back the tears, so Emilio Butragueño, Director of Institutional Relations of Real Madrid, asked for a few seconds of pause.

"When I talk about my family, I get emotional," he continued. "I am sure that all of this has been thanks to them and the family in Brazil, like my grandmother. They have all helped me since I was a child to achieve my dream," he stressed.

Reinier feels that he has fulfilled his family's "dream" and expressed his gratitude to Real Madrid for their support: "What I am experiencing is the realization of a dream. Playing for Madrid was the dream of my father, my sister, my mother... I am very happy for this opportunity."

The 18-year-old Brazilian footballer recalled the first call from Real Madrid to show their interest in signing him. "It was inexplicable, the happiest moment when my father called me. I was at the Club World Cup and I didn't know what to do. I started crying. In Brazil, we don't really know what Madrid is. It's gigantic. It has always been my team," he said. EFE
