Liverpool dropped points for the first time since October, when they drew 1-1 against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Since then, they had recorded thirteen consecutive victories in the Premier League, until they arrived at Molineux Stadium and added one more to the incredible run.

Jürgen Klopp's men, who still have a comfortable lead over Manchester City, took the lead in the first half through midfielder Jordan Henderson. The Liverpool captain headed home a great corner delivery from Trent Alexander-Arnold.

However, Liverpool couldn't find a way to further penetrate Rui Patricio's goal, and the game remained open, giving Wolves the chance to equalize.

In a great combination play, Nuno Espirito Santo's side succeeded. It started with Patricio from his own goal. Jiménez, who would ultimately score the goal, led the play, opening it to the right wing where Adama Traoré was waiting. As the Mexican forward moved towards the box, Traoré delivered a perfectly weighted cross that Jiménez finished out of Alisson Becker's reach.

Wolves equalized and seemed determined to secure the victory, but the spirit of the European champions emerged.

Five minutes before the end, Roberto Firmino once again put Liverpool ahead after a great play by Mohamed Salah, securing their fourteenth consecutive victory.

The worst news for Liverpool was the injury to Sadio Mané, who had to leave the field after half an hour. The severity of the injury will determine if he can participate in the Champions League tie against Atletico Madrid.

With this result, Liverpool now has a 16-point advantage over City, despite having played one less match, while Wolves remain seventh with 34 points, the same as Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.
