Paris Saint-Germain had a feast to close their magnificent qualification phase and, against a Galatasaray that was celebrating their hundredth European match, achieved a thrashing that left the Turks out of any continental competition.

The dynamite of Paris attacks desarbored those from Istanbul

The Parisian dynamite in attack disarmed those from Istanbul, who barely troubled Spanish goalkeeper Sergio Rico in a match in which victory was imperative to continue in the Europa League.

In that context, Argentinian Mauro Icardi, Spanish Pablo Sarabia, Brazilian Neymar, who scored his first goal of the season in the Champions League, French Kylian Mbappé, and Uruguayan Edinson Cavani brought joy to the stands of Parc des Princes to close out a group stage in which they have only drawn one match.

Since PSG had nothing to play for, already sure to finish first in their group ahead of Real Madrid, German coach Thomas Tuchel rotated his squad, but was not willing to do so with his two key stars, a symptom of the tension that is being felt in the dressing room.

Mbappé already made it clear that he was unhappy when he was substituted in the last two league games and despite the coach calling him to order, he preferred not to offend egos, a policy that he also applied to Neymar.

Alongside them, Icardi, who definitely seems to have surpassed Cavani but doesn't seem to replace him in the hearts of the fans, who chanted his name when he entered the field to play the last half hour.

The name of the Uruguayan was again sung by the fans when, with 10 minutes left, the referee awarded a penalty. Cavani took it, completed the score and scored his first goal of the season.

The rotation affected Argentinian Ángel di María and Italian Marco Verratti, leaving the midfield to Sarabia alongside 17-year-old Kouassi and Argentinian Leandro Paredes.

From the very beginning, the home team showed that they wanted to give their fans a goal fest, while Galatasaray showed the shortcomings that have made them the least scoring team in the competition, with only one goal.

It was Icardi who opened the scoring in the 32nd minute after a good combination between Mbappé and Neymar, which left the Argentine striker alone in front of the goal. It was his fifth goal in six European duels.

Three minutes later, Sarabia took advantage of a pass from Neymar to shoot and place it on one of Muslera's posts, whose stretch was useless.

Right after returning from halftime, Neymar and Mbappé found each other again for the Brazilian to open his account in Europe this season, and fifteen minutes later they swapped roles for the Frenchman to score his fifth goal in this Champions League.

Mbappé has been involved in 8 of PSG's 17 goals in Europe this season, as he has also provided three assists.

In addition, he celebrated his 100th goal in official competition for a club, 27 with Monaco and 73 with PSG, just nine days before his 21st birthday.

Only Cavani's goal was missing to complete the party. Mbappé was brought down in the area and the crowd called for the Uruguayan to take the penalty. Neymar, who had disputed penalties with him upon his arrival in Paris, went to hand him the ball, a sign of complete reconciliation.

Cavani, PSG's all-time leading scorer, did not fail against his compatriot Muslera.
