Germany qualified for the 2020 Euros on Saturday by beating Belarus 4-0, with a brace from Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos.

With 18 points in Group C, Germany secured their spot in a continental tournament that will be held from June 12th to July 12th in 12 European cities, in commemoration of the competition's 60th anniversary.

Despite the wide result, Germany took time to open the scoring, with Matthias Ginter (41) finding the net, followed by three goals in the second half scored by Leon Goretzka (49) and a brace from Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos (55 and 83).

"We've achieved our goal. The team played a good match and I congratulate the players. It's been a long time since Belarus lost by so many goals. We made beautiful plays. We are in a rebuilding phase, but the young players did well in this match," said German coach Joachim Low.

The German team secured their qualification at the same time as the Netherlands, who drew with Northern Ireland in Belfast (0-0).

With one match remaining, in which Germany will face Northern Ireland and the Netherlands will face Estonia on Tuesday, the Germans (18 points) and the Dutch team (16) will compete remotely for the first place.
