It's still a mess. The parties can't agree on what will be the most important match in the world. First, it was known that it wouldn't be played on October 26 - when it was scheduled; then, the Federation gave a date for December, but the tournament entity doesn't agree with the established date. LaLiga will appeal the decision of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to hold the postponed classic between Barcelona and Real Madrid on Wednesday, December 18.

The match was supposed to be played at the Camp Nou stadium this Saturday, but it was postponed after a request from La Liga due to security issues caused by the independence protests in Catalonia.

"La Liga will take the relevant legal and administrative actions in defense of the affiliated clubs," said the Spanish top division in a statement on Thursday.

La Liga also said that there is no rule that allows clubs to choose the dates of a match and that the lower profits from holding the classic on the 18th, when Copa del Rey matches are taking place, instead of on another date, will affect the entire league.
