Barcelona defeated in Ipurua, with three goals from its offensive trident, and didn't have too many problems to add three points against an Eibar that showed resilience in the first half.

Match report: Eibar 0-3 Barcelona

The first few minutes of the match were the opposite of what Mendilibar likes, with Barcelona easily breaking through Eibar's high press.

Gradually, the home team started to find their game, and despite not having clear chances, they managed to push Barcelona back into their own half, with crosses into the box and set plays.

Pedro León had a good opportunity after a cross from the left, but his shot missed the target.

When you forgive a team like Barcelona, you end up paying for it, and that's what happened before the first 15 minutes, as Antoine Griezmann brilliantly finished a long pass from his compatriot Clément Lenglet.

The goal seemed to affect Eibar in the following minutes, although they quickly tried to besiege the Barcelona area again, with more heart than accuracy, though.

Barcelona seemed to need some breathing space against the local pressure, as Ipurua continued with crosses into the box and a strong presence in the opposition's half.

Valverde's team seemed to rely on Messi and Suárez with difficult balls between the lines for the attackers, although they bothered the home team in the few times the ball reached their feet.

And in one of those times, the ball reached the boots of the '10', but Dmitrovic frustrated what would have been a brilliant goal with 15 minutes left before halftime.

There wasn't much else to mention before the restart, when Nelson Semedo replaced Sergi Roberto.

Eibar started the second half with suffocating pressure that made it difficult for Barcelona to comfortably leave their own half.

Despite everything, another moment of genius from Messi and Suárez scared Eibar. Ipurua had to wait for VAR to breathe again after Suárez's goal was disallowed for offside.

But with Messi involved, there are no scares, and the Argentine increased the lead on the scoreboard after a messy play.

A few minutes later, the Barça trio was involved again as Luis Suárez scored into an empty goal after a pass from Messi, who received the ball from Griezmann.

The armeros couldn't do anything more against the individual quality of the culés, but the fans kept cheering despite the 0-3 scoreline, aware that playing in the top flight is still a celebration for Eibar.

With the match decided, the pace from both teams slowed down in the last 15 minutes, and Valverde made changes with the Champions League in mind.

Messi had a free-kick that he likes, but his shot went over the crossbar.

Eibar accepted defeat, but Messi didn't want to give up, and one of his passes to Suárez almost resulted in Barcelona's fourth goal, as they enjoyed themselves.

And that's how the match ended, with a superior but not overwhelming Barcelona against an Eibar team that did everything they could against a rival full of individual brilliance.
