Scouts from Sevilla travel to France to watch talented young midfielder
Scouts from Sevilla traveled to French soil last night to witness the clash between Dijon and Olympique Marseille, according to CalcioMercato.it. Their main focus was the performance of Maxime López (21 years old), the midfielder of the visiting team.
This is not the first time that Sevilla has shown interest in the young player. In fact, over the past seasons, the club's scouts have monitored this talented midfielder on several occasions, who became a permanent fixture in the first team of his current club in the 2016-2017 season.
Although he started as a starter and played for 66 minutes, López couldn't shine as he has in other games, contributing to the rather lackluster performance of a team that couldn't score against the current last place team in Ligue 1.
In previous seasons, the Marseille player has even been linked with Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, although the aforementioned Italian website only mentions that other top clubs such as Juventus, AS Roma, and AC Milan have also monitored his performance on numerous occasions.
