Barcelona is already preparing for the next transfer period that will take place in January. Thinking about the possibility of strengthening their squad for the second half of the season, at the blaugrana entity they are already evaluating some options and two possible signings could come from Napoli in Italy.
The cameras captured Eric Abidal, sports director of Barcelona, watching Napoli's 4-1 victory against Lecce from the stands of the San Paolo stadium. The Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported that the former French footballer attended the Italian venue with the intention of 'spying' on Fabian Ruiz, the Spanish midfielder from Napoli who was also being watched by Real Madrid.
But Fabian Ruiz is not the only player from Napoli on Barcelona's agenda. The same media outlet reported that Abidal also took note of Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly, who is considered one of the best in his position in the world.
Currently, there is no further information on Barcelona's moves to close the signing of any of these Napoli players. However, the Catalan institution will have to pay a large amount of money if they want to have one of them at all costs.
