Fiorentina and Atalanta shared the points with a 2-2 draw at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia for the fourth matchday of Serie A. Experienced Frenchman Frank Ribery scored the second goal with a volley for the 'viola'.
The goal started with a serious mistake from Atalanta defender Jose Palomino, who failed to control the ball in his own field. Fiorentina striker Federico Chiesa took advantage of the mistake, stole the ball, and took it down the right wing to cross to Frank Ribery, who finished with a volley to extend the visitors' lead.
The former French international's goal was his first in Serie A since joining Fiorentina before the start of the season, coming from Bayern Munich.
With the draw, Fiorentina earned two points and remained in last place. Their next match will be against Sampdoria on September 25th, while Atalanta will face Roma on the same day.
