Nothing is ruled out. Jordi Cardoner, first vice president of FC Barcelona, said on Wednesday that the chapter about the possible return of Neymar to the club is parked and that Barça is waiting for "things to happen".

"He was happy here. We leave the chapter behind, we wait for things to happen. Now we are competing, LaLiga has already started and it is a chapter that does not happen", said Cardoner, who led the Blaugrana delegation after the floral offering to the monument to Rafael Casanova on the occasion of the Diada of Catalonia.

The vice president recalled that the Blaugrana entity has been participating in this tribute for a century and believes that Barça "has to be present" in "national" events like this one in which "historical situations are commemorated".

"Why doesn't Messi come? Piqué and others come. Possibly he will come next year. This is a day for everyone. We have members all over the world and I wouldn't want to force anyone, but it's a day for everyone, regardless of personal ideas", he said.

Asked about the clause in Messi's contract that allows the Argentine to unilaterally disassociate himself from Barça from next June 30, Cardoner commented that the board team is "calm".

"Leo will do what he sees fit, but his contract is very special because of who he is. It is a concession made to Messi and other players who deserve it", he argued.
