A little before the closing of the 2019 transfer market, Barcelona seems to be not only concerned about Neymar's arrival. According to 'TuttoSport' from Italy, the Blaugranas also want to strengthen the center of the attack and have in mind a swap with Juventus involving Mario Mandzukic and the youth player Juan Miranda.
According to the mentioned source, Barcelona needs to find a substitute for Luis Suárez and they like the name of the Croatian striker at Camp Nou. He has experience in LaLiga after his time at Atletico Madrid and would have no problems accepting a secondary role in the Blaugrana club.
To finalize Mandzukic's arrival, Barcelona is working on an operation that does not cause expenses, so they offer Juan Miranda in exchange for the Balkan striker. As it is well known, the left-back from La Masia has run out of space in the first team.
Just a couple of months ago, Barcelona renewed Miranda's contract until 2021 with a record clause of 200 million euros. However, the arrival of Firpo to be Alba's substitute has raised doubts in the young Barcelona player.
With two players in that position, Juan Miranda's chances of alternating in the first team have dropped considerably. That is why the 19-year-old footballer would consider the idea of changing leagues to establish himself as a professional. And there is nothing better than in Cristiano Ronaldo's team.
