Former French international player Franck Ribéry is set to complete his playing career in Saudi Arabia or Qatar after leaving Bayern Munich last season.
According to the popular German newspaper Bild, the 36-year-old player will travel to the Gulf on Friday to sign a contract, after undergoing a medical examination in Munich.
Ribéry bid farewell to Bayern Munich at the end of last season, joining the team in 2007 from Olympique Marseille.
His departure marked almost the end of an era at the powerful Bavarian club and coincided with the retirement of two other veterans, Dutchman Arjen Robben, who arrived in Munich in 2009, and Brazilian Rafinha, who did so in 2011. (EFE)
