The memes didn't take long to come out. Real Madrid lost 1-0 to Tottenham on Tuesday in the Audi Cup in Munich, with a goal from Harry Kane in the first half. This means that the Spanish team is still without a victory in this preseason.
The white team has lost three matches since their return from vacation, against Bayern Munich (3-1) and Atletico Madrid (7-3) in the United States, in addition to this match against the London club at the Allianz Arena.
During their tour in the United States, they managed to draw against Arsenal (2-2) and win on penalties (3-2). The only goal of the game for Tottenham was scored by Kane in the 22nd minute when Marcelo's attempt to pass the ball to Sergio Ramos ended up with the English forward alone against Keylor Navas.
"We started the game very poorly, and the opponent took advantage of our mistakes, so the loss is deserved. It is true that we are not yet in shape," said Real Madrid midfielder Tony Kroos.
Without Gareth Bale or James Rodriguez, who seem close to leaving the club, the whites tried to have possession of the ball in the second half but failed to show any danger, with an invisible Eden Hazard.
Humiliated by the heavy defeat against Atletico Madrid and having conceded thirteen goals in four matches, Real Madrid can thank goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who played in the absence of the injured Thibaut Courtois, as he was the only player who performed well in the poor game of the team.
Tottenham, the finalist of the last Champions League, had a solid performance, highlighted by French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, who is the most expensive signing in the club's history.
The Spurs will play the Audi Cup final on Wednesday against the winner of the match between Bayern Munich and Turkish team Fenerbahçe.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, will face the loser of that match on Wednesday, and then travel to Austria to play against Salzburg on August 6th, and five days later, they will play against Roma in Italy in their last friendly match before the start of the Spanish league.
