The Kansas City Royals come back to win the game
The Kansas City Royals seemed to be eliminated from the 2015 Major League Baseball playoffs, but they came back from a 2-6 deficit in the final part of game four of the American League Division Series to win 9-6 against the Houston Astros.
The fifth game will be on Wednesday at the Royals' home.
After a three-run attack in the bottom of the seventh inning with home runs by Carlos Correa and Colby Rasmus that gave them a four-run lead with two innings left, the visiting team reacted.
Hits by Lorenzo Cain and Eric Hosmer drove in runs, and a throwing error by Correa on Kendrys Morales' hit tied the game 6-6. A groundout to second by Alex Gordon gave the lead to Kansas City.
In the ninth inning, Eric Hosmer hit a two-run home run.
The Royals had taken the lead in the second inning with a two-run homer by Venezuelan Salvador Perez, but Carlos Gomez narrowed the gap with a solo home run in the bottom of the inning.
Carlos Correa tied the game in the third inning with a home run, and then drove in George Springer with a double in the fifth.
In the seventh inning, Correa hit another home run with Jose Altuve on base, and immediately after, Colby Rasmus hit his third home run of the series. But everything fell apart with the performance of the home team's relief pitchers.
