Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac, Arsenal players, were attacked on Thursday by armed men with knives. A video, posted on social media and already viral, showed the incident on the streets of North London. The Bosnian defended the German and confronted the assailants.
In the images shared on the Internet, the Bosnian defender confronted two men wielding knives. Meanwhile, the midfielder got into the vehicle to prevent it from being stolen.
According to the BBC Sports portal, Arsenal reported that Ozil and Kolasinac are "fine." Additionally, the English institution stated that the regrettable act will be treated as a "private matter."
On the other hand, local police confirmed the attack in a report. "It was reported that suspects on motorcycles had attempted to rob a man driving a car."
Subsequently, the officers spoke with Ozil and Kolasinac, who were unharmed, at a nearby restaurant. Additionally, the authorities assured that "there are no arrests" at the moment.
