The poor campaign of the Argentine National Team and its controversies with the VAR were the inspiration for a peculiar reggae song that went viral on social media. The protagonist (and vocalist) was Lionel Messi, who was accompanied by a peculiar band of Argentine football references.
"The reggae of Messi" was the title of this song. It is a peculiar edition with real statements from Lionel Messi, Oscar Ruggeri, and even Diego Maradona for the 'choirs'.
"In this cup, they kept calling bullshit. Hand bullshit, fouls bullshit, penalties bullshit uhhh," can be heard in the song's chorus. Almost everything refers to Messi's statements after losing to Brazil in the semifinals.
Did you listen to it? Do you think it would compete with Maluma, J Balvin, Daddy Yankee?
