Real Madrid begins to fine-tune its 'Zidane Revolution' plan to dominate Europe again this season. The list of important signings is starting to come to an end. This Wednesday Florentino Pérez presented Eder Militao, the new white defender who will defend the club's colors for the next six seasons.
The defender arrives with the champion's label after lifting the trophy of the 2019 Copa America with the Brazilian National Team. Despite not being a starter due to having the defensive line led by Thiago Silva and Marquinhos in front of him, he had minutes in the final against Peru at the Maracanã.
In the presentation at the Santiago Bernabéu box, he revealed that it had always been his dream to be part of the white team: "Since I was a child, I wanted to play for the best club in the world. Thanks to the president and all the Madridistas. I'm going to give everything on the field and I hope to have a great season here and make history. Hala Madrid".
Florentino welcomed him by explaining that "we have a great squad and a fantastic group with new talents. We welcome one of the great defenders in world football". The traditional "Welcome" was also present.
Let's remember that Porto, obliged by the stock market, announced the signing of Eder Militao by Real Madrid in exchange for 50 million euros on March 14. The young player, only 21 years old, despite having only been in Europe for a few months, will play until June 30, 2025.
Militao will join Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, and Nacho Fernández as options for central defenders for Zidane. The latter has great chances of leaving the club, so the Brazilian will have more opportunities.
