Peruvian forward Jefferson Farfán posted a photo on his Instagram account on Saturday announcing the success of the operation he underwent in Europe after injuring himself during the Copa America.
As you may remember, the 'Foquita' was withdrawn from the continental tournament due to a serious knee injury (detachment of the cartilage in his left knee) and Lokomotiv Moscow, the club where the Peruvian plays, ordered his operation at a specialized clinic in Barcelona.
"The best cure to recover from an injury is yourself. Thank you all for your affectionate messages, I truly appreciate them. The 10th of the street is injured, but not dead," wrote Jefferson Farfán in his Instagram account, accompanied by a photo showing his left leg completely bandaged.
The recovery of the Peruvian football player could take between 6 and 9 months. For now, the 'Foquita' must rest completely and it is a fact that he will not miss the final of the Copa America between Peru and Brazil, to be played this Sunday at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
