The PS5 is awaited by the gamer community. The CEO of Sony, Kenichiro Yoshida, announced that the PlayStation 5 is aimed at "hardcore gamers" who "obsess over the latest features".
In statements to The Wall Street Journal, the developer of the PS5 highlighted Ray Tracing (better optical effect in low-light areas) as an attraction for the most demanding gamers.
"The details when creating games have become more important than ever," he said. "[PS5] will dramatically increase graphics rendering speed. [The change] clearly demonstrates why having a next-generation console makes sense".
The release of the PlayStation 5 is scheduled for 2020.
PLAYSTATION 5 | Price
According to market analyst Michael Patcher, the price of the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett will be identical.
"Their technical specifications tell us that they will go for $500 or something like that. But my bet and prediction is that Microsoft will announce a console for $399 and Sony will follow with an identical price," he said to GamingBolt.
