The fight between César Luis Menotti, current national teams director of the AFA, and Óscar Ruggeri, former captain of the Argentine National Team, has generated all kinds of comments. After the former player stated that the 'Flaco' must resign and criticized him for not traveling with the squad to the Copa América, the former coach of the Argentine national team downplayed his comment.
However, someone who did not like the exchange of words between them at all was Ángel Cappa. The former Argentine coach spoke on Radio Mitre about what happened between César Luis Menotti and Óscar Ruggeri, where he expressed his rejection of the way in which the now Fox Sports panelist referred to the world champion with the Argentine National Team in 1978.
"The argument between them hurt me. Questioning César Luis Menotti is valid, but it should be done with respect. Óscar Ruggeri disrespected him, he used the language of a thug and hooligan to refer to him," he said.
On the other hand, Ángel Cappa supported the temporary appointment of Lionel Scaloni as coach of the Argentine National Team. "I didn't think it was wrong to leave Scaloni in charge while they are looking for a new coach. This is a team in formation that is starting to have its own identity and that is encouraging. We need to ensure progress before making changes," he concluded.
