FC Barcelona confirms the departure of Lucas Digne to Everton
Although it was an open secret for several days, it was just a few minutes ago when the FC Barcelona management confirmed the departure of Lucas Digne, a player who will start a new chapter at English club Everton.
"FC Barcelona and Everton Football Club have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Lucas Digne to the English team. Everton will pay FC Barcelona €20.2 million, plus €1.5 million in variables. The Club publicly expresses its gratitude to Lucas Digne for his commitment and dedication and wishes him luck and success in the future," explains the statement issued by the Catalan entity.
Recruited in the summer of 2016 for around €16.5 million, the French full-back leaves the blaugrana discipline after accumulating 46 official matches (2 goals and 3 assists), a somewhat poor figure that reflects the fact that he has never been able to escape the long shadow of Jordi Alba.
