A World Classic before the start of two of the great leagues. Real Madrid will collide with AC Milan on August 11th in the 39th edition of the Santiago Bernabeu Trophy 2018, in a match in which both teams will commemorate the final of the European Cup they played in 1958.
"The match will commemorate the 60th anniversary of the final of the third European Cup, which both teams played in 1958," the White club reported in a statement on Tuesday.
In that match, played at the Heysel Stadium in Brussels, Real Madrid won 3-2 in extra time after overcoming goals from Paco Gento, Alfredo Di Stefano, and Hector Rial, Juan Alberto Schiaffino and Ernesto Grillo's goals.
The match will be played at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on the 11th at 21:00 local time (14:00 hours in Peru).
Real Madrid and AC Milan are the two clubs with the most European Cups, with 13 for the White team and 7 for the Italian team.
