Note about FC Barcelona's interest in Dani Parejo
Once again, Dani Parejo's name is being linked to FC Barcelona as a possible reinforcement for Ernesto Valverde. The loss of Andrés Iniesta marks one of the notable absences for the upcoming season, and despite the addition of Arthur, the Barcelona team values the arrival of another midfielder, as Rafinha and André Gomes are not counted on by the Extremaduran coach and their departure is expected before the summer transfer market.
Because of this, FC Barcelona would consider the incorporation of Dani Parejo again. According to AS newspaper, the Valencia CF club has not yet decided to renew his contract, and with a current clause still at €50 million, his option is seen as being within more acceptable parameters than other alternatives that the Catalans are considering, such as Miralem Pjanic or Adrien Rabiot, who have been linked as the chosen ones and very close to being the final addition to the midfield.
However, the Barcelona team has not yet presented any major developments in that position, and the opportunity of the white-and-black midfielder captivates Valverde especially, since he had him under his orders during his time at Valencia. The Valencia CF club has no intention of letting go of their playmaker in the center of the field, nor of one of the players whom Marcelino García Toral has placed his complete trust in, so a departure of the Coslada-born player would only be expected if his full release clause is met.
In addition, Valencia CF has various players who could play in that position, including Carlos Soler and Daniel Wass. In fact, Marcelino has had the Danish player perform in the midfield and on the wing, so both options are open for him. Will this motivate a possible departure of Parejo?
