The president of Napoli, Italian Aurelio De Laurentiis, denied the alleged interest of his club in players like Colombian Radamel Falcao, French Karim Benzema or Argentine Ángel Di María.
De Laurentiis, who is following Carlo Ancelotti's Napoli at the Dimaro concentration in northeastern Italy, assured that his team is looking to reinforce itself with young players, in an interview with the Neapolitan radio station "Radio Kiss Kiss".
"How many times have we said that there is an agreement between Ancelotti and me, that I want young people? Do I have to sign two old men? With utmost respect for Di María and Benzema", said De Laurentiis, known in Italy for his very direct way of speaking.
Di María, a forward for Paris Saint Germain, is 30 years old, while Benzema, a forward for Real Madrid, will turn 31 in December.
The Napoli president also denied rumors of a possible interest in Monaco forward Radamel Falcao, considering the Colombian international "a player who no longer scores many goals".
