One of the things Liverpool is obligated to hire in this transfer period is a goalkeeper. Starting with his two glaring errors in the Champions League final and the blunders he has been making in the preseason, it is evident that Loris Karius is not a goalkeeper who provides the necessary security for a team that aspires to go far both locally and internationally.

Despite having Belgian Simon Mignolet, Thibaut Courtois' substitute in his national team, as the second option after Karius, Liverpool's priority is to sign a top-level goalkeeper, and for this reason, according to international media, they have made an offer to Roma for the services of Brazilian Alisson Becker. However, the peculiarity of this proposal is that it is valued at an amount of 70 million euros.

If this transfer is completed for that amount of money, Alisson Becker would become the goalkeeper for whom the highest amount has been paid for a transfer, surpassing the 52 million euros that Juventus paid in 2001 to acquire Gianluigi Buffon. Likewise, it would be Liverpool's fourth signing in this transfer window along with Brazilian Fabinho, Guinean Naby Keita, and Swiss Xherdan Shaqiri, in which the English club has already spent 115 million euros.
