Is this the last chapter of Aleix Vidal's story at Can Barça?

In what would be the beginning of his third season at the Blaugrana, the versatile footballer may say goodbye to Barcelona if his departure, as everything seems to promise, happens this summer. The player once again played a supporting role in Ernesto Valverde's first season at the club, and although he is a wildcard for the coach, his transfer seems to be the most beneficial option for both parties.

Sevilla could be the one to remove him from the Barça squad

The one responsible for removing him from the Catalan squad would be Sevilla, who would resume the player's option after a long back and forth that has been dragging on since the summer window and that could be closed this time with an agreement motivated by the conversations that both clubs are having to seal the transfer of Clément Lenglet. In fact, Mundo Deportivo speculates on the possibility that Aleix Vidal is a letter included in the operation for the Frenchman, reducing his price and therefore not having to pay the full amount of the buyout clause that the Sevillians are requesting, which would explain the delay in the negotiation.

For now, this seems to be an operation not linked to that of the Frenchman, where the team from Nervión would offer €6m to finalize his transfer. However, FC Barcelona is still insisting on a higher market valuation, setting his price at €10m. Therefore, this 4 million euro difference is the main obstacle to overcome in order to finalize the player's transfer.

Last season, Aleix Vidal played 1,031 minutes and, considering the €17m that the Blaugrana paid for his services in 2015, it seems feasible that they will agree to a price reduction if they want to confirm a departure that has been appealing to the sporting direction of Barça for many months now.
