One of the fundamental pieces for Liga de Quito to conquer the first phase of the national championship, will leave the club. It is the Argentine forward Hernán Barcos, who terminated his contract with the university team on Tuesday.
Rodrigo Paz, lifelong president of the Quito team, confirmed the departure of the Pirate, with whom an agreement was reached to terminate his contract.
"It is not pleasant news, but the problem is that he (Barcos) had that agreement to leave at the end of the first stage of the championship. We did not put any impediment and at his request (the player) and his agents we have accepted and conveniently arranged the economic issue," said Paz to radio La Red.

The director indicated that the relationship with the player ended on good terms and did not specify what will be the destination of the Pirate, who scored 9 goals with the university team so far this season.
Barcos confirmed his departure in a message on his Twitter and Instagram social media accounts. "Today is a difficult day for me, because of everything we experienced this semester. I say goodbye to Liga once again. I do it for the good of the club," were part of the words of the Pirate.
Barcos is getting ready for a new stage in Brazil. Cruzeiro confirmed the signing of the Argentine through its social networks. (D)
