Manchester United had to fight against all odds to get their first victory in the Group Stage of the UEFA Champions League.
The 'Red Devils' needed Juan Mata to revive their hopes in Group B of Europe's premier club tournament after defeating Wolfsburg 2-1.
The German club took the lead just four minutes into the match, when a lapse of concentration from Antonio Valencia allowed Daniel Caligiuri to score, sending the ball to the back of the net as David de Gea came out.
However, Caligiuri went from hero to villain when he handled the ball inside the box, leading to a penalty that Juan Mata converted to equalize the scoreline at the 34th minute.
In the second half, the team led by Louis van Gaal pushed forward and it was Mata himself who set up Chris Smalling to send Old Trafford into a frenzy and turn the game around.
With this result, Manchester United secured their first three points and leveled the group, where Wolfsburg, PSV, and CSKA have the same number of points.
