FC Barcelona: Consolidating the New Squad
The FC Barcelona is already working to consolidate the new squad for Ernesto Valverde's second project as coach of the team. The Barcelona team is advancing negotiations for signings such as Arthur Melo, who may join this summer.
In parallel, new names continue to emerge, such as Miralem Pjanic, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, or Nabil Fekir, who made it onto today's agenda. But, in the meeting held by Eric Abidal, Ramón Planes, and the coach himself in the last few hours, other names were discussed.
According to Sport, the future of two players was addressed. First, defender Yerry Mina will have to pack his bags for two reasons. The expected arrival of Clément Lenglet will leave him without a place, and he also has to give up his non-European spot to Arthur Melo, so a loan will be sought for the Colombian.
On the other hand, Valverde has decided that Denis Suárez will continue, as the Galician can be important as a substitute in rotations. Since André Gomes and Rafinha are expected to leave, the Txingurri does not want to lose more effective players in midfield.
