Poland: A Promising World Cup Team
Poland was one of the seeded teams in last December's draw, which gave them a relatively favorable group stage with good chances of advancing to the round of 16. It's been a long time since Polish football has had such a talented generation of players, and expectations are high.
Adam Nawalka has built a solid team that will fight for a spot in the round of 16 and maybe even dream of achieving something more significant. Poland's best result in history was a third-place finish in 1974 and the 1982 World Cup in Spain. Currently, they hold the 10th position in FIFA rankings.
Wojciech Szczesny (28 years old, Juventus):
Szczesny has already been designated as Gianluigi Buffon's successor at Juventus, and all eyes will be on him during the tournament in Russia. The goalkeeper is always a key role in short tournaments, and the Polish team can rely on him as one of their major assets, especially considering his desire to prove himself before starting his new chapter in the "Vecchia Signora".
Piotr Zielinski (24, Napoli):
If we continue with the backbone of the team, we find this midfielder who was one of the standout players in Serie A last season. With 7 goals and 3 assists in 47 matches, Zielinski will undoubtedly be one of the key players in Adam Nawalka's squad.
Robert Lewandowski (29, Bayern Munich):
This center forward is one of the most highly regarded in Europe, and the top clubs have already fought for his signature. Among them, Real Madrid, although the interest seems to have cooled off recently. If Lewandowski has a strong World Cup, he will surely make a lot of noise.
