Predicting Liverpool's starting line-up for tonight's Champions League final should be pretty straight forward based on recent form and who's available.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip are all currently sidelined, while Emre Can and Adam Lallana have both struggled with injuries this season.

So here's how Liverpool's XI is most likely to look against holders Real Madrid:

Loris Karius; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dejan Lovren, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson; Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum, James Milner; Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane

Picking a team will have been tough for Jurgen Klopp given the sheer amount of options at his disposal.

One player who will be particularly disappointed if he doesn't start against Real Madrid is Lallana - not because he deserves to, but because injuries have pegged him back.

Were it not for his recurring hamstring strain, it's likely the Englishman would be starting ahead of Wijnaldum in Liverpool's midfield.

TOUGH YEAR FOR LALLANA

Nevertheless, Lallana has remained positive ahead of the final and in an interview with BBC Sport he went ahead and praised every single one of his teammates individually.

He also revealed his favourite Liverpool player in the current squad and it's not his best friend, Jordan Henderson, or Mohamed Salah - but Roberto Firmino.

"My favourite player," he said of the Brazilian (see below). "I would also say he's possibly one of the most underrated No.9s in world football.

"He's so happy to go under the radar and not be spoken about, but he's an absolute gem. To have someone who scores and assists goals is a rarity."

Nailed it. Lallana also lauded Firmino's two partners in crime, Salah and Mane, adding: "Sadio is a match winner. The hat-trick in the Champions League, effortless.

"That's what he does. If it wasn't for what Mo's done on an individual basis, him or Bobby would be picking up all the awards."

And he said of Salah: "A big moment for me this year was when he got presented with his Player of the Year award and he wanted the picture with all the teammates.

"That says everything you need to know about Mo."
