The University of Chile was eliminated in the group stage of the 2018 Copa Libertadores. Through Facebook, the fans of the 'León' lamented their team's performance and one of the criticized players was defender Gonzalo Jara.

Many indicated that his inconsistent level led to another continental failure. Even one fan confronted him after the 2-0 defeat against Vasco da Gama, in images that have already gone viral.

"Good, good. Fantastic. 50 million (pesos) for that, damn it. 50 million monthly!" The 'U' fan said to Jara. The video was shared on Facebook and has thousands of views.

Also, the center-back was to blame for the second goal of the Brazilian team due to a gross error when trying to clear the ball. Their team finished last in Group 5 and also failed to qualify for the Sudamericana.
