FC Barcelona wants to sign Clément Lenglet
The 2017-18 season has not yet ended, but FC Barcelona is already making moves for the summer transfer market. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan club has reached an agreement with French defender Clément Lenglet to strengthen the central defense.
A few months ago, Barcelona saw Lenglet as a replacement for Umtiti. The same applied to the Frenchman from Sevilla, who would have had a hard time being a starter if 'Sam' left the team. However, the mentality of both parties has changed.
Barcelona wants Lenglet regardless, considering his youth, potential, and low release clause (30 million euros). And from Lenglet's side, he is willing to fight for a place in the team, whether it is against his compatriot, Yerry Mina, or even Piqué.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona plans to officially announce the signing of Clément Lenglet at the end of the season. Sevilla has already accepted the reality that the French center-back is playing his final minutes at Nervión.
