Eleven people injured in platform collapse during TV show filming

Eleven people have suffered minor injuries, including two minors, when a stand collapsed at the Satalia football field in Barcelona. The stand had been set up by the Mediaset production company for the filming of an episode of the show "Chester" on Cuatro, in which Risto Mejide interviewed Andrés Iniesta.

According to municipal sources, the accident occurred on Tuesday when, for reasons that are still being investigated, the stand that the production company had installed for the audience collapsed.

In total, eleven people were injured, ten of whom were taken to different medical centers. None of the injuries were serious.

Sources from FC Barcelona confirmed to Efe that the player Andrés Iniesta was being interviewed on the set of "Chester" when the accident occurred. Iniesta was unharmed and only experienced a "small scare".

The Barcelona Urban Guard has sealed off the Satalia football field, located in the Poble Sec neighborhood, to remove the collapsed structure and collect evidence to determine the causes of the accident.

Meanwhile, the Barcelona City Council has announced that it will open an investigation to determine the causes of the accident that occurred at the municipal football field.

The incident mobilized multiple units from the Catalonia Fire Department and ambulances from the Emergency Medical System (SEM).
