About South Korea's National Football Team

Shin Tae-Yong took charge of the Asian national team in 2017, replacing Uli Stielike, and managed to qualify for the World Cup in Russia. South Korea has been a frequent participant in recent editions of this football tournament, achieving their best result in 2002, when they finished in fourth place, a memory of infamy for Spain.

Korea will have to compete in a significantly challenging group, where they are clearly the underdog on paper. However, we have seen on many occasions throughout the history of the World Cup that clear favorites have packed their bags at the earliest opportunity, and we are certainly facing a team with the desire to fight.

- Ki Sung-Yueng (29 years old, Swansea)

The captain of this national team is well known to us from his performances in the Premier League, where he has already completed an impressive six seasons. A midfielder with great technical qualities, this player is one of the leaders of the Asian team.

- Heung-Min Son (25, Tottenham)

Another familiar face in this national team, as he plays for Tottenham and is arguably the most valuable footballer from the Korean peninsula at present. Scoring 18 goals in 50 matches this season, he will be one of the Asian team's key offensive players in Russia.

- Hwang-Hee Chan (22, Salzburg)

This forward has been one of the surprises of the season due to his outstanding performances with the Austrian club, which surprisingly reached the Europa League semifinals. The young center forward is also expected to be a major protagonist in the transfer market if he maintains his excellent form in Russia.
