Liverpool target Wilfried Zaha as signing to support Mohamed Salah
Liverpool have entered the race to sign Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace, according to reports.
The 25-year-old has been a pivotal figure in Palace’s bid to secure their Premier League status this season and has scored eight goals in 28 appearances this season.
Zaha was wanted by Tottenham last summer, but the winger has now attracted interest from several of Spurs’ rivals.
According to The Sun, both Liverpool and Chelsea are also keen to sign Zaha, with Jurgen Klopp viewing the Ivory Coast international as the signing needed to support his trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
The report also claims that Zaha, who is valued at £50 million, is keen to leave Crystal Palace this summer if he gets the chance to play in Europe next season.
Speaking earlier this week, Zaha admitted that he would not be fazed by another move to a bigger club following his failed stint at Manchester United.
‘I moved away when I was 19, 20. Whatever happened before happened and I have grown mentally,’ Zaha told Sky Sports.
‘So that won’t scare me, if I get the opportunity to move away eventually, that will not scare me because of what happened in the past.’
