Racing Club qualified for the Round of 16 of the 2018 Copa Libertadores by winning 1-0 (0-0) against Universidad de Chile, in a match played this Thursday in Avellaneda (southern suburbs of Buenos Aires) for the fifth round of Group 5.
Alejandro Donatti (81), with a long-range shot, gave the victory to the Argentine 'Academia'.
After five rounds, Racing tops the standings of Group 5 with 11 points, followed by Brazilian side Cruzeiro with 8, while the 'U' has 5 points, and the also Brazilian Vasco da Gama, already eliminated from the tournament, closes with only 2 points in their account.
In the last round, to be played on May 22, Racing will visit Cruzeiro in Belo Horizonte, while Universidad de Chile will host Vasco da Gama in Santiago. AFP
