Jérôme Boateng, German defender for Bayern Munich, praises Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, who reaches the semifinals of the Champions League after scoring in eleven consecutive matches in the competition, and declares that he is an athlete who has no weaknesses.

"Cristiano is a world-class player, his goal-scoring figures show that he is difficult to defend. I have played against him in Real Madrid and with Portugal, which is different because in his club he has better players than in his national team. I am happy to play against him because that way I can improve," he said at a press conference.

"He is an athlete who has no weaknesses, he scores with his left foot, right foot, head, he coordinates the ball very well. But the danger is not only him, it's the whole Real Madrid team and how they have been playing together for years, with automatisms acquired and very dangerous in the counterattack. That's what has kept them at the top for years, but we have the conditions to beat them," he added.

Boateng does not believe that the rumors about Real Madrid's interest in Polish forward Robert Lewandowski will affect his teammate's performance, as he dreams of winning the Champions League with Bayern.

"I don't think it will influence the match, he will concentrate on reaching the final and that's why we're motivated. We know it's very difficult but we want to achieve it and for that, we have to win tomorrow," he said.

Boateng points out that it is crucial for Bayern to defeat Real Madrid at the Allianz Arena in the tie. "We want to start by winning an important match at home where we want to play well. It will be difficult to impose our game. We know that Real Madrid recently beat us twice in the Champions League, but we have a team to beat them," he said.

The German defender has returned to his best form after overcoming injury problems that led him to want to leave when Italian Carlo Ancelotti was in charge of Bayern.

"Heynckes values me and has helped me a lot since he arrived at Bayern, I feel very good and I am in the best shape just at the decisive moment when I can help the team achieve its goals," he said.
