The forward of Atlético de Madrid, Fernando Torres, said that it will be "a great loss for the Spanish" not to have midfielder Andrés Iniesta in Barcelona and in the Spanish League if the player confirms his departure from the azulgrana team.
"For the Spanish it will be a great loss not to see Iniesta in Barcelona and in the Spanish league, and there is his legacy, the game he played yesterday he has been doing it for many years and the level he shows is a marvel," said Torres about his former teammate in the Spanish national team, who seems to be imminent and will announce his decision next week.
"Andrés has not announced it yet, it seems that it is in the air and I think he has earned the right to decide. I know what he wants for Barcelona, what it meant for him as a child to leave his family and everything behind to fulfill a dream and he has the right to do so and everyone will respect his decision," he added.
Torres expressed himself "happy as his friend" and "sad" at the same time for not seeing him play with Barcelona if in the end Iniesta decides to leave.
"We must be happy with the trajectory he has had and both he and I still have things to fight for in this end of the season," he concluded.
