Busy summer ahead in Paris Saint Germain

The capital's team will undergo several changes during the upcoming summer. One of the first will be the arrival of a new coach to replace Unai Emery, presumably Thomas Tuchel. Despite an excellent season domestically (winning all the titles in the country except for the French Cup, where they are in the semifinals), the team's failure in Europe has led to rumors about possible new signings.

However, there are also potential departures to be considered. One of the big names to watch is Brazilian Neymar, although his departure next summer seems complicated. A different case is that of Javier Pastore (28 years old), the first signing of the QSI era. Arriving from Palermo in 2011, El Flaco was one of the first to believe in the new Parisian project. Unfortunately for him and PSG, his contribution has been quite irregular due to various injuries.

Nearing the end of his contract on June 30, 2019, the Argentine international has expressed doubts about his future and it is very likely that he will move on. He has been courted by different teams such as Inter Milan in Italy or Valencia in our country, and Pastore's time in Ile-de-France seems to be coming to an end.

Another significant case is that of captain Thiago Silva. At 33 years old, the Brazilian is one of the pillars of the team and the Parisian project. He is linked with the team until 2020 and has shown that he continues to be key in Ligue 1. However, the same cannot be said about his performances in Europe, including the fiasco against Barcelona in 2017 that almost cost him his position last summer when Unai Emery requested the signing of another top-level center-back. The team's moves in terms of possible new signings, as well as the choice of the new coach, will be crucial for his future.
