In Manchester City they have reasons to smile, despite being eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Champions League less than a week ago. And it is because the team led by Pep Guardiola won the Premier League after beating Tottenham 3-1 at Wembley and confirming United's defeat against West Bromwich at Old Trafford. Now they begin to plan the signings for the 2018-19 season and Wilfried Zaha is in the sights of the 'Citizens'.
According to The Guardian, Wilfried Zaha, Crystal Palace striker, is the most recent request from Guardiola for the next season of Manchester City. Although he has only scored seven times in the current English tournament, Pep sees him as a forward who can be enhanced at Etihad Stadium.
It is worth remembering that Zaha passed without glory at Manchester United. He only played four matches under the technical direction of David Moyes, after the departure of the multiple winner Sir Alex Ferguson. Meanwhile, the blue team would be willing to pay around 50 million euros.
However, the Ivorian forward is not the only one who has caught the interest of other great teams in the English Premier League. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham also want him in their squad for the 2018-19 campaign.
On the other hand, in City they are proud of the Premier League title they have just won. This weekend they will host Swansea and it is expected that some players, such as Kevin De Bruyne, Ederson Moraes, and Nicolás Otamendi, among others, will be given rest since they have played almost every game.
