Next April 25th, Bayern Munich will host Real Madrid for the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals. And they could do it without one of the key pieces in coach Jupp Heynckes's scheme. We are talking about Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal.
In a press conference held this morning, Jupp Heynckes confirmed that 'King Arturo' will undergo surgery after getting injured during last Sunday's training.
"He twisted his knee on his own, he has a free joint body. He will have to undergo a minor intervention", said the German coach. However, in a burst of optimism, he pointed out that the absence of the Chilean will only be brief. "He's out in the short term", he pointed. "Arturo is a fighter, I trust he will recover well", he added.
For some, Arturo Vidal's presence in the match against Real Madrid is seriously at risk, especially for the first leg, considering how close it is. The one who is completely ruled out is the clash against Leverkusen, with whom Bayern Munich will collide this Tuesday for the semifinals of the German Cup.
