For the round of 16 of the Copa de Brasil, Atletico Paranaense faces Sao Paulo of Christian Cueva. The Peruvian's team hopes to stay alive in this tournament, in which the first match will be played at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, the home of 'Furacao'. The match is scheduled to be played on Wednesday, April 4th at 19:45 Peruvian time (24:45 GMT).
Atletico Paranaense suffered a lot to reach this stage. The 'Furacao' played against Ceara from Serie B, and in the two matches they played, they ended up tied. The first leg was a 0-0 draw and the second leg was a 1-1 draw, which took them to the penalty shootout. In the penalty shootout, both teams scored 7 goals from the penalty spot, and the score ended 5-6 in favor of the Hurricane.
On the other hand, Sao Paulo had an easier time. They played against Clube Regatas from Brazil, a team that never posed a problem.
