After five days of competition in which 200 archers from different countries participated, the seventh edition of the Versus Mx Shoot 2018 tournament, held in Zapopan, ended this Sunday.
Chilean Andrés Aguilar took the gold in the men's recurve bow category; Guatemalan Diego Castro won the silver, and 16-year-old Mexican Diego Caballero took the third place after a tight tiebreaker against Olympic medalist Brady Ellison.
In the women's category, Slovak Ana Umer took first place; followed by Gabriela Bayardo, representative of the Netherlands; while American Kelsey Kard took the third place.
In the compound bow category, American Steve Anderson won the gold in the men's division; Dutchman Mike Schloesser came in second, and Salvadoran Roberto Hernández completed the podium.
In the women's division of the same category, Denmark's Sarah Sonnichsen took the top spot, followed by Slovak Toja Ellison, and Ana Sofía Hernández from Zapopan completed the winning positions.
In the amateur division, Brazilian Guilherme Hayashi took the gold in the recurve bow category, and Lisset Flores from Nuevo León. In the compound bow category, the winners were Regina Bernal from Jalisco and Shadi Ramos.
