The search for a substitute in the PSG bench is a topic that fuels the French press since the club's disqualification in the Champions League and, as stated by "Le Parisien" referring to the president's preferences, Italian Massimiliano Allegri appears as the favorite.
The newspaper affirms that the succession of Unai Emery - who has a contract until June - has accelerated in recent days and Allegri is "the most credible candidate", thanks to his results with Juventus Turin, which he has led to the final of the Champions League in 2015 and 2017.
Above all, the doubts that the leaders of the team from the French capital may have had about his suitability have been swept away by the "tactical" achievement of the Juve coach since 2014 (before he was in charge of AC Milan) in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 at Tottenham's stadium, where he won 1-2.
Furthermore, according to "Le Parisien", his human and psychological profile seduces Nasser Al Khelaïfi, president of PSG, since he knows how to control his emotions in public, while being inflexible in the locker room.
Allegri, who has a contract in Turin until 2020 and would need the approval of the leaders of his club to go to Paris, has activated his network of informants after receiving indications of interest from the French team in order to get to know its internal functioning.
The name of the Italian has displaced others that had also been rumored since PSG was eliminated from the Champions League once again, this time by Real Madrid. On the list were the Spaniard Luis Enrique and, above all, the Italian Antonio Conte, who is a candidate to become the coach of the Italian team.
