The inevitable operation of Neymar will mean a 3-month absence for the Brazilian in Paris Saint-Germain. However, Unai Emery has not wasted time and is immediately looking for a player who can replace the Brazilian star for the upcoming matches.
Angel Di Maria is the most viable option. The Argentine, who played for four seasons in the white team, could come in as a left winger or switch sides with Mbappe and play on the right, maintaining the 4-3-3 formation.
Another option would be Julian Draxler, a German midfielder who could fit perfectly on the left wing for Emery, although he has less goals than Di Maria.
The third and final option would involve a tactical change and could have different interpreters. Javier Pastore, Thiago Motta or Lass Diarra (recent addition in the January market) would reinforce the midfield to opt for a more conservative approach without giving up the goals from their forwards.
