The coach of Barcelona, Ernesto Valverde, has admitted that his team lacked "a bit of spark" to take the three points at Camp Nou against Getafe (0-0).
The coach of the Barcelona team pointed out that the result on Sunday shows that there is still a lot of league left, as after this draw, Atlético, the second classified team, is seven points behind his team.
"We lacked a bit of spark to do something more," summarized Valverde, who regretted the ball losses his team suffered while attacking.
In this sense, the Barcelona coach has recognized that the draw may have something to do with the last month and a half of competition in which his team has played many matches.
"We come from a month with a lot of hustle and bustle and this is within reason. In any case, the coach of Barcelona celebrated the rest that his team will have with a view to the next week: "We had this week marked to try to reach it with the objectives fulfilled by whatever means necessary. Among the positive aspects of the match, Valverde highlighted the good performance shown by the Colombian Yerry Mina and the French Lucas Digne in the central axis.
"It is quite positive news for us that these two players played. They have been quite good, we have had few troubles. At the beginning, they had to get used to it and as the match progressed, they improved. I am happy with them because it was a difficult task for the two of them and they solved it well," he explained.
